Steve Fox
Lecturer, UMass Journalism
Steve has 20 years of experience as an editor and reporter for print and online publications, including 10 as an editor in various capacities at The Washington Post’s award-winning Web site. Prior to joining The Post, he was a sportswriter and editor at different publications for about 10 years, including serving as the national college basketball writer for United Press International. Richard Caesar
Richard holds an associate degree in Mass Communication and is currently a senior journalism major at UMass Amherst. He’s experienced working with sound, text and video. Richard’s usually found at UVC TV-19, where he’s director of UMass This Week, UVC-TV’s weekly news show.
Caitlin Coughlan
Caitlin is a junior journalism major at UMass Amherst. In the summer of 2009, she interned at the Governor’s Press Office where she photographed events attended by the Governor and Lieutenant Governor and worked on independent projects. In the spring of 2009, she became one of the editors of The Amherst Wire. Caitlin has previous journalism experience at the Daily Collegian as a news photographer and during high school contributed articles and photos to her local newspaper at home.
Hollis Smith
Hollis Smith is a senior journalism and political science double major with an international relations minor at UMass Amherst. Smith is originally from Pepperell, MA, but currently resides in Amherst, MA. She enjoys photography and considers herself a decent bonsai artist.
Kimya Hedayat-Zadeh
Kimya is a sophomore journalism major at UMass Amherst. She was a news correspondent for The Daily Collegian her freshman year, and spent the summer of 2009 working on a multimedia project called “This Little Town” about her hometown of Wilbraham, Mass. Kimya has also worked for a public relations firm and wrote for a town newspaper, The Hampden-Wilbraham Times.
